The Family Campground

The Family Campground Our campground in Edmore, Michigan is ran and maintained by my mother Carole Nevills, myself (Cindy Stratton), and my daughter Sydnee Stratton.

My father built this beautiful landscape in 1980 and it has been growing ever since. We open May 1st and close October 1st. Our campground features large camp sites with water and/or electric, a shower house for showering and other needs, a waste site for sewer tanks, a swimming area with lounge chairs and a pleasant beach, a quiet and serene atmosphere, pet-friendly, games (shuffle board, horse s

hoes, basketball, and more), group/family camping is always allowed and we will do our best to have you parked next to each other, fishing that does not require a fishing license since we are privately owned (blue gill, sunfish, bass, perch, pumpkin fish, and more), campfires with wood available, a play area for children, paddleboat, a koi pond, amazing nature trails, and so much more! We are family owned and intend to stay this way so we can be close to our campers and help you with whatever you may need. All ages can find a fun activity here. Good morning campers!! With the help of our campers we built a ball diamond. As they say “if you build it, they will come”. Sure enough they did, yesterday we had an awesome game of kickball. Sami and Bruce were the coaches, the score was 13 to 12, Sami’s team won. 🏆

This Saturday the 22nd we will have the Williams Trio under the pavilion. The band starts at 6:00. We are dressing up for the decade you were in when you were 18 to 22 years old. Carole will dress 50’s , I will dress in the 70’s and so on.

Just a reminder that this Saturday, August 15th at 9:30, we will be taking the golfcarts to Stanton. We will watch the parade and the visit the vendors and various events. We will meet back at the American Legion at a designated time to head back to the campground. When we get back everyone is invited to come to the pavilion for a ice cream. Lisa and Brian are having root beer floats, ice cream sundaes with all the toppings. Hope to see everyone at 9:30. 🍨

Here is a update version of the events calendar. This Friday the 7th we will be taking a Golfcart ride to Mac Farms. We plan on leaving at 6:00, if you are planning on going please let me know and remember that there is always someone with extra room on their buggy. It’s a really nice ride about 4 1/2 miles.

We were able to get the Around the World eat and drink event in between the rain on Saturday!! We traveled to Spain to see Kim and enjoy her delicious Spanish rice. We then went to Japan with Tim and Diane. They served us Sushi, Sake and Teriyaki shrimp and chicken. Everyone enjoyed visiting and eating before heading over to Mexico. Robb had cooked a pork tenderloin in his smoker all night to make this fabulous Pulled Pork Nacho dish. He also served Modeli a Mexican beer. Sydnee made an amazing Irish Stew with Cheddar Beer Bread. She and Riley with the kids dressed in green and served the hungry travelers. From there we headed to Poland with Stacey serving Potato Cheese Pierogis she did on the grill. They were delicious and we drank a mango fruit drink. (Tommy and Gracie loved it). Stacey also did a drawing that Brian won. Off to Germany for Pretzels and beer with Dawn. She served Bitburger and Helles beer. Loved her shirt. Last stop was France. Brian and Lisa spent a lot of time putting together pictures and memorabilia of Brian’s tripo ok to France . While talking to Brian we were eating Cream Puffs, Eclairs and Macaroons. (Tommy rode his Spider-Man bike to Paris several times for some cream puffs) thank you everyone that prepared and displayed food, drink, pictures, etc of their chosen country. What a fantastic time!!!🤩
