Jackson County is currently under a Burn Ban. Until further notice, NO ground fires are permitted within our Parks or Campground areas. This includes fires in designated fire rings.

♨️ BBQ grills are permitted with charcoal only.
🚫 No wood-burning fires are allowed.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping us keep our parks, guests, and surrounding areas safe.

This was possible because of everyone who participated in our 2nd Annual Run for the Red, White, and Blue 5K Color Fun Run... THANK YOU!❤️

The Lavaca-Navidad River Authority and the Brackenridge Recreation Complex proudly congratulate the Lo**ta Volunteer Fire Department on being selected as this year’s recipient of proceeds from the 2nd Annual Run for the Red, White, and Blue 5K Fun Run!

Funds were raised through event registration fees, with a commitment to donate 50% of the proceeds to a local first responder organization. We are grateful to all who participated and helped make the event a tremendous success. Congratulations to the Lo**ta Fire Department!❤️

Our very first Family Campout Weekend was so much fun.

What a great weekend filled with families, campfires, s’mores, kites and memories made. It was refreshing to see families unplugging, spending quality time together, and making the most of the outdoors.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and made our first Family Campout Weekend so special.

We are wishing for a little help from Mother Nature to bring us enough wind for the kite show to continue! Just a gentle reminder that we can’t control the wind, but we are keeping our fingers crossed!

Family, golf and sweet treats! Day 2 of Family Campout Weekend has been absolutely great! We started the morning with a fun round of family golf. Afterward, our campers got creative and made homemade ice cream in a bag! It turned out so yummy! Loving every minute of this weekend. We still have a lot fun memories to make this evening!!
Don’t forget the obstacle course, Craft tent, DJ Glow Dance and the highly anticipated led kite show!!

Today is the day!! Our family campout weekend will wrap up this evening with our LED kite show!

🌟 Here’s everything you need to know before you join us TONIGHT! 🌟

📅 Saturday, July 18
🕔 Event begins at 5:00 PM
📍 Brackenridge Park Basketball Court

🚗 Limited parking will be available in the HHRC parking lot. Overflow parking will be along the Park Road. We will have staff onsite directing guests on where to go!

🪑 Seating is limited, so we encourage everyone to bring a lawn chair and get comfortable for the evening's activities.

🍦 Come hungry! Sweets & Treats by Dive On In will be onsite serving ice cream, frozen lemonades, dessert cups, snacks, and more.

💵 Cash Only! Armbands can be purchased at the event with cash only. Public admission is $10 per person, children 3 and under are FREE, and campers receive 50% off armbands when purchased at the Park Office.

Your admission includes the DJ Glow Dance Party, Craft Tent, Yard Games, Food Truck, and the spectacular LED Kite Show that will light up the night sky! ✨🪁

Our family campout weekend is officially underway, and we had the best first day!
We feasted on hot dogs and s'mores, kids made their way through the obstacle course, and we watched our kite fliers do an amazing test run. 🪁 Watching that kite fly was just awesome!!Can't wait to see what tomorrow evening brings!
