Fall might just be Yosemite’s most underrated season. 🍂🏔️

As summer crowds begin to fade, Yosemite Valley starts to take on a completely different look. Golden yellows, warm oranges and hints of red appear among the evergreens, while cooler temperatures make it an incredible time to explore.

And unlike destinations known for one short peak foliage window, Yosemite’s changing elevations can make fall feel like a season that unfolds gradually. 🍁

Thinking about a fall trip to Yosemite? Save this for later.

Wondering what it’s actually like to stay at Yosemite View Lodge? Swipe through for a little taste of vacation along the Merced River.

Start the morning slowly with coffee, breakfast and the sound of the river right outside.

Bringing your pup? Yosemite View Lodge is a pet friendly resort, so they can come along too. 🐾

Find a quiet spot by the river and relax for awhile. This is what slowing down near Yosemite looks like.

Leave the car behind. YARTS picks up right at the lodge for an easy ride into Yosemite National Park.

And when Yosemite Valley looks like this, being just minutes from the park entrance really pays off.

Take your stay outside with one of our Signature Experiences along the Wild & Scenic Merced River.

Some rooms come with a little extra relaxation: an in room spa tub with river views.

When the sun goes down, look up. ✨ Yosemite nights are made for stargazing.

End the day with s’mores and start planning tomorrow’s adventure.

You don’t have to be a hiker to experience the best of Yosemite.

Some of Yosemite’s most iconic views, waterfalls and landmarks can be enjoyed without taking on a strenuous trail.

Take your time sightseeing around the Valley, where incredible views of granite cliffs, meadows and waterfalls are around nearly every corner.

Yosemite is one of those places where the drive itself is part of the experience. Pull into viewpoints, stop for photos and enjoy some of the park’s biggest sights without a long trek.

You don’t need to hike for miles to see Yosemite’s waterfalls. Several viewpoints and shorter walks offer beautiful waterfall views, especially when flows are strong in spring and early summer.

With more than 12 miles of paved bike paths, biking is one of the easiest and most fun ways to explore the Valley. Bring your own bike or check seasonal rental availability inside the park.

Park the car and let someone else do the driving. The free Yosemite Valley shuttle connects many popular destinations throughout the eastern Valley.
