This past weekend, we hosted a gathering at our River Park venue that blended the beauty of Yosemite with a relaxed and elevated atmosphere. From artisan charcuterie and s’mores, to conversations around the fire, it was a reminder that some of the best ideas happen when people step away from the day to day.

Bringing your dog to Yosemite? We’d love to welcome them too 🐾

At Yosemite Resorts, we know adventures are better with your furry best friend by your side. From riverside walks to scenic drives and pet friendly outdoor spaces nearby, there’s plenty to explore together.

To help keep things comfortable for all guests, we do ask a few simple things:
• Dogs should not be left unattended in rooms
• Please keep pets leashed while on property
• Be sure to clean up after your pup
• If your dog is in the room, place a Do Not Disturb sign on your door for everyone’s safety

If your dog experiences separation anxiety or tends to be vocal, we encourage bringing them along for the day’s adventures instead of leaving them behind.

There is a $25 per pet, per night fee. Please let our reservations team know ahead of time at [email protected], and give the front desk a quick call after booking so we can prepare for your furry guest accordingly.

📍 Vernal Fall via the Mist Trail - SAVE FOR YOUR TRIP

One of Yosemite’s most iconic hikes for a reason.

🥾 Difficulty: Moderate to strenuous
📏 Distance: ~3 miles round trip to Vernal Fall Footbridge + top of Vernal Fall
⏰ Time: Around 2–4 hours depending on pace and crowds
💦 Expect steep stairs, slippery rocks, and lots of mist during peak waterfall season.

Nearby trails in the same area:
• Continue to Nevada Fall for a longer hike
• Take the John Muir Trail down for different views and a slightly less steep descent
• Stop at the Vernal Fall Footbridge for a shorter option with incredible views
