The house is on the market. The travel trailer is purchased. Now we are waiting for the weather to cooperate so we can clear out a spot to get started on.

A good watermelon has little clues 🍉 A few things I check first:
✅ Look for a creamy yellow field spot where it rested on the ground
🍉 Pick one that feels heavy for its size
👂 A deep, hollow sound can be a good sign when you tap it
🌿 Dry stems can mean it was picked closer to ripe
🚫 I don’t rely on one trick alone, I check a few signs together
🔪 Smooth skin and a firm feel are usually better than soft spots or cracks
Watermelons can be tricky, but checking weight, color, and firmness has helped me pick better ones.
