Hey Campers and Friends,

March 1st!

One month til the campground opens for the summer season! Lots of work lined up for the next few weeks if the weather cooperates. Right now, camp is like most farms in the spring… between rain, ice and frost coming out of the ground, things are pretty soupy and there will be numerous loads of gravel required after I’m convinced we’re done with snow that requires plowing.

Every warm and sunny day brings more phone calls, web inquiries and reservations as campers start to make plans for spring, summer and fall adventures. Visit our website, velterracampground.com and contact me if you have specific questions or need help with site selection.

Sad day in camp today as Mother Nature tells me it was the day to turn off the water in the campground and blow out all the water lines for the winter. 😢. If you still have an RV reservation before the end of October, I’ll have free quarters for hot showers in our heated restrooms. Thanks to all our campers for another wonderful summer season! See you next year.
