Another load of picnic tables built by the ladies at the detention center wood shop. The profits from our woodshop sales goes right back into an account that is designated for anything that directly benefits all of the offenders. For example, all the required educational books and materials for our programs, required clothing for outside work details, electric, and gas cost for our program’s buildings, and the list goes on. Besides spending time outside in the sunshine on days like today, this program also teaches skill, responsibility, and accountability. I also need to give a huge shout out and thank you to Tracey Decker for taking the time to stop by the jail on her day off to ensure that these tables were being loaded, and delivered on time as promised. Her years of dedication to the jail and to her community does not go unnoticed.
