Not only does everything look incredible, but they left the space cleaner and better than before — which says a lot during a project like this. We are so grateful for the hard work, efficiency, and care that went into this!

🌿 Cottage Chronicles | Spring Is Waking Up

There’s something about this time of year that just feels like a fresh start… and we’re feeling it at the Cottage.

This week, we’re making a big upgrade — new HVAC systems are being installed by our local friends at Superior HVAC to keep the Cottage even more comfortable for every season ahead. We love supporting local, and we love making your stays better.

And we’re especially excited because… our very first book club is happening this weekend! There’s nothing better than gathering in a cozy, historic home with good conversation and community.

Looking ahead to April:

⏰ 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Bring your garden gloves, mini shovels, rakes, and come help us plant flowers, freshen up the yard, and quite literally become part of the Cottage’s story.

✨ All ages welcome — we’d love to see families, friends, and anyone who just wants to be part of something special.

Spring is coming, and the Cottage is growing right along with it.

💐 So grateful for yesterday 💐

Thank you to all the wonderful gals who came to the Cottage yesterday — for the conversation, the laughter, the warmth, and the stories shared around the table. These gatherings are quickly becoming one of my favorite parts of this space, and I’m so thankful for each of you who are showing up and making the Cottage feel alive!! If you have photos, please either comment them below or share and tag us. I didnt think to take many (darn it)

🌷 Looking ahead to April… 🌷
Our next gathering will be a Spring Flower Planting Day at the Cottage — a hands-in-the-dirt kind of afternoon focused on community, connection, and contributing to the Cottage’s living history.

The Cottage will provide the flowers 🌸
(I’ll be planting perennials, so they’ll come back year after year — meaning the hands that help plant them now will be part of this place’s seasonal future for many years to come.)

✨ Bring:
• Your gardening gloves
• A beverage of your choice
• Stories, flower knowledge, and willing hands

This will be free to attend and an open invite — think of it like a very casual garden club, but mostly just a chance to hang out with like-minded people, learn from each other, and care for something together.

Later in the season, we’ll invite everyone back to cut and arrange small bouquets from the very flowers we plant together, which feels especially full-circle and meaningful.

More details coming soon — but I wanted to share what’s blooming next 🌱

🤍 Tomorrow Night at The Cottage 🤍

The Winter Tea Event is tomorrow from 6:30–8:00 PM ☕❄️

For those of you that got a ticket online, come settle in for a winter evening filled with good conversation, warm flavors, and a little creativity. You’ll get to assemble your own custom blend of spiced tea, sip something cozy, and enjoy time together in the glow of the cottage.

Bring your best conversation, your curiosity, and your love for all things warm and comforting on a winter night.

Upcoming Book Club Reads & Book Selection Plan

For our March Book Club meeting, we’ll be reading Midwinterblood by Marcus Sedgwick.

Our April read will be Where the Crawdads Singby Delia Owens.

We’ll choose the exact April meeting date during our March gathering, but we’re announcing the book now so anyone using libraries has plenty of time to get on waitlists and grab a copy (we know those holds can take a bit!).

Our very first Cottage Book Club is officially FULL, and I can’t thank you enough. The support, messages, and sign-ups have been incredible, and it truly means so much to me.

Because of the amazing response, we may create additional book club groups that meet regularly if this continues to show promise 👀✨ So if you missed this round, don’t worry—this might just be the start of something special.
