The Martyn House roots started in 2009 when it became known as the home of ‘Glamping’. Guests stayed in luxury sleeping tents imported from India. These tents provided a glamorous camping experience, where guests slept in real beds with fine linens. They enjoyed gourmet meals and evenings in front of a roaring fire with a sky full of stars as their canopy. Glamping at The Martyn House eventually o

ffered rooms in their 1930’s Farmhouse, their two Artist Studios were guesthouse’s as well. Often the entire property was reserved for weddings, retreats and numerous other events. The Farm hosted several Farm to Table Dinners each year. It was Featured in Southern Living in 2010, Georgia Traveler and voted 1 of 88 best getaways in the US in 2012. The Martyn House Farm closed as a Glamping Bed and Breakfast in 2018 to focus on other endeavors. In 2012 they bought and renovated a building in historic downtown Ellijay and opened The Martyn House In Town Coffeehouse, it became know as the Local living-room. The Coffeehouse and The Farm was a way for them to Creatively Connect their Community. Soon after opening it was renamed The Ellijay Coffeehouse which it is still known as today. In 2020 the Coffeehouse was sold and remains a thriving business in downtown. Today we lay aside our brick-and-mortar business models and invite you to come stay with us once again. I will soon be starting a podcast where i will still be Creatively Connecting and Inspiring people via the internet. I will be telling stories and listening to stories!!!
