A good reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things!

Most of us get a little annoyed when the train stops on Main Street! 🚂 I get it! 😀

But what you may not see is what happens inside EPL when the train comes through. The little ones hear the whistle and immediately go running to the windows to watch! 👀

It was just too cute not to share! Sometimes the things that slow us down are the things that bring someone else joy! 🥰

We’ve seen some conversation circulating about the small grass fire that occurred near the lodge following a gender reveal, and we just wanted to clear up one important detail.

The individuals involved in the incident were not guests staying at Big Creek Lodge. They were not a group that had rented or been staying at the lodge, and our lodge guests were not responsible for the fire.

We certainly understand how quickly assumptions can spread when something happens nearby, but we want to be fair to the guests who choose to stay with us and to the people involved. Nobody involved is proud of the mistakes made, but we’re grateful that the fire was contained quickly and that no one was hurt or injured.

We’re always committed to being good neighbors and responsible members of our community, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out with concern. 🫶🏻
