We are overjoyed to finally have all three cottages ready to welcome you, your family, and friends. From the moment we first saw these cottages, we could picture what they would become - a place where generations gather, where memories are made year after year, and where someday our kids will bring their own families back, too.

What started as a vision has become a place for connection, rest, and slowing down together โ€” with everyone having their own cozy space to relax and unwind. We canโ€™t wait to share The Spruce with you.

๐Ÿ. ๐†๐ž๐จ๐ฆ๐š๐ ๐ง๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐œ ๐€๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ - there is definitely a science to it all. For the most part, you need to see a Kp of at least 6 to see visible auroras in the contiguous U.S.

๐Ÿ. ๐‹๐จ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง - The farther north you are, the better. This, of course, is good news since we're at the top of the thumb!

๐Ÿ‘. ๐ƒ๐š๐ซ๐ค ๐’๐ค๐ข๐ž๐ฌ - For the very best shot at viewing the northern lights you should head to Newport State Park, a certified dark sky location!

Lately, as weโ€™ve watched new builds rise and major renovations reshape the landscape around us, weโ€™ve felt an even stronger pull to preserve what first made us fall in love with this place. The quiet character. The simplicity. The feeling of stepping into something timeless.

These cottages may not be brand new - but thatโ€™s exactly the point. Within these walls live decades of memories, stories, laughter, and tradition. And we believe thereโ€™s something special about holding onto that.

Our goal is simple: to protect and share a small piece of the nostalgic Door County that so many people cherish - so it can be experienced for generations to come.
