Imagine starting your morning like this…

Coffee in hand (or in a cup holder) strolling down toward the lake to watch the sun come up. Or maybe you’re loading up the cooler, grabbing your fishing gear, and heading down for an afternoon on the dock.

Someday, this will be the path that takes you there.

Obviously, we’re not quite there yet. 😂 Right now this path is VERY much a construction zone and definitely not wheelchair accessible. In fact, Jeremiah high-centered on the berm and the kids and I had to come to the rescue.

But someday? A smooth, accessible path to the lake. And we can’t wait.

⚠️ A quick construction-site reminder: Our property is still actively under construction, and there is currently NO lake access available.

We’ve also received a few messages from neighbors about people driving onto private property, using neighboring driveways to turn around, and even trespassing while looking for the cabins or lake.

We LOVE that you’re excited to follow along with this project. But please help us be good neighbors. ❤️

If you happen to find your way to our property, please remember that it is an active construction site, enter at your own risk. Please stay entirely on our property, do not enter neighboring properties or driveways, and know that there is currently no public access to the lake or cabins.

For now, the best way to visit is right here with us virtually. 😊

One day, though… we hope you’ll be walking (or rolling) down this very path with your own cup of coffee.

What’s one of the biggest wild cards when building a cabin?

It could cost a little… or A LOT… depending on just how far they have to DIG. 😬

Today is WELL DIG DAY at AccZess Europe Lake Cabins!

There’s really no knowing exactly how deep they’ll have to go until they start drilling… so we’re crossing our fingers they find good water sooner rather than later! 🤞

Any guesses?! How many feet do you think they’ll have to drill before they hit water?

Stratford Homes has started construction on the second cabin (in their warehouse)! This cabin is just shy of 750sf and designed for individuals, couples or small families. Can’t wait to see it come together. ❤️

Hello. My name is Kristy. I am the voice behind our social media but supporting me in everything cabin is my husband Jeremiah, our three children and our friend Chad. (And our German shepherd, Millie) Most of you know we are building two wheelchair accessible cabins in beautiful Door County, WI.

You might not know, we are building these with character and heart. We are furnishing almost everything except the beds from FB Marketplace finds.

I couldn’t do this without the help of our kids. Because Jeremiah and Chad are paralyzed, I need help moving the furniture. It’s not what most 16 and 13 year olds want to do after school and on the weekends but they don’t complain much 😉. Check out the nightstand and couches we bought today! Cant wait for you all to see it come together… until then I’ll keep posting our amazing finds!

Our first AccZess cabin is taking its place among the trees and we can already imagine the mornings, the campfires, and the deep breaths that will happen here.

A place to relax, recharge & reconnect in nature.

I just want to say 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨.
To everyone who has been working on our site this week. It is humbling to see the hard work, passion, and incredible skill that goes into something like this.

At my request, they worked painstakingly to 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 while somehow maneuvering FOUR large pieces of cabin around the corner of our property, down our little gravel road, making the tight turn onto our gravel driveway, and then winding down our driveway to its new home.

If we speed up the process, it looks like a dance, but in real life it was hard, challenging, and rewarding work.

And maybe that makes the way these cabins arrived even more fitting. Our entire project was born from a pretty simple belief:

Life is hard. We all need places where we can slow down, relax, recharge, and reconnect with nature. 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿. So what better way to build cabins designed around accessibility than this? Instead of stick-building them on site… we brought the cabins in on 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗘𝗟𝗦.

To everyone who helped get them here safely and who respected our vision along the way... 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨.
