Mount Pisgah . . . a peaceful place

Mount Pisgah . . . a peaceful place We limit the number of campers using the site. We are a primitive campground, just you and Mother Nature. Use of the park is by reservation only.

We want our visitors to enjoy the beauty of the campground without the noise and congestion associated with typical campgrounds. Mount Pisgah Park is located on the site of an early Indian village overlooking the Spoon River Valley near Ellisville, Illinois. The view of the beautiful Spoon River Valley from Mount Pisgah is unsurpassed anywhere along Spoon River's winding course. Mount Pisgah has a

long tradition of being a site where the beauty of nature is enjoyed and friendships are fostered. The park was owned an operated by Fulton County until November, 2009, when it was sold at public auction. The new owner, John Wiemers, is maintaining the park for camping, outdoor recreation, and family events.
