We came up to Ely Minnesota to go hiking at the National Park and around National Forest. This location was great…We were in walking distance from stores and great restaurants. It was easy to find and always had space to park. The opal house was a cute house that had everything we would need …We especially liked the fact that there are 3 coffee shops about 5 minutes away walking distance. Place was spotless and relaxing (didn’t have to worry about anything).

This was my second stay at this property and would happily return!

The place was perfect for us. Great location and very nice place stocked with everything you need!!

We are excited to learn that the movie Boundary Waters featuring Ely will soon make its Ely premiere!

When the producers of this newly released film saw Opal House, they loved the sense of time and place of this historic home and made it the primary shooting location featured in this wonderful film!
