Really solid rain over the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCA) fires Saturday morning! We’ve also gotten some good steady showers in the Twin Cities. Hasn’t stopped me from pulling ivy, weeding, and mowing, but just right for helping the grass and hydrangeas.

Blueberry Arts Festival has been cancelled this year but it sound like some of the vendors are trying to get something going in Babbitt.

Out of an unexpected change comes something new! We’re excited to announce a new art fair taking shape in Babbitt on July 25 & 26.

While this event has come together quickly, we’re looking forward to creating a place where artists, makers, and the community can gather and celebrate creativity.

According to the Superior National Forest, as of Monday, July 13th, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) has closed all access points to the BWCA.

Lots of fires in the area, but to clear up some confusion the Camp WildFire is not Camp Van Vac. There was a fire on Miller Island today on Burntside Lake, but as for now we are safe.

According to the Lake County Sheriff's Office, a 'GO' evacuation zone has been put in place in the area of the Camp wildfire in the area of the UT Northeast Saint Louis: Cloquet Line.
