It’s official - Drowsy Owl Properties is expanding!

We are excited to announce the upcoming opening of a sister property to Ruby and Garnet Owl located in West Jefferson, NC. Soon, Drowsy Owl will be providing up to 12 bedrooms/12 bathrooms across 4 units in walking distance to downtown West Jefferson. And the best part? They are next door to each other!

Perfect for extended family getaways, wedding parties, and reunions with friends, we are thrilled to be able to provide more flexible options for our guests. The properties will be available individually, in specific groupings, or as a full rental of all four units.

In the meantime, work has begun so we can ensure we offer the same amenities and homeyness already provided in and ! Stay tuned for upcoming availability of and !

Although Garnet Owl and Ruby Owl (our West Jefferson, NC locations) were spared the brunt of Hurricane Helene, many of our friends, family, and broader communities weren’t so fortunate. Western North Carolina is made up of the most amazing mountain towns both big and small and many have been heavily impacted. While the full extent of damage will take weeks to truly understand and comprehend as these areas begin to regain access to electricity, water, drivable roads, etc, we already know that the people there are in dire need of support.

Please consider making donations to assist with the short term needs of our beautiful mountain communities and the longer term rebuilding efforts that are going to take time, money, and true North Carolina grit to complete. A couple of worthy organizations suggestions:

Want a smaller getaway with just immediate family or close friends? Each side of this gorgeous townhome can be reserved individually and provides 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Looking for space for a larger gathering? Rent BOTH to accommodate a bigger group while still allowing for some privacy and separation.
