Dear guests,
Larry and I are at Sea Castle doing the usual spring cleaning and maintenance prior to rental season beginning mid March. It's beautiful here on Emerald Isle, as always, with the waves crashing on the pristine beach. The sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking. After two weeks of cleaning and maintenance, our house is ready to welcome you. Broken blinds were replaced, paint touched up, new tub doors installed, ceiling fan blades replaced, new flag flying. D eck furniture scrubbed and 3 new chairs bought. I can't find new white rockers, and the old ones are a little chalky after being scrubbed, so you should cover them with a beach towel before you sit. There's a new microwave on the East side and a new stove on the West. Last year we had 12 new windows installed. If anything goes wrong while you are here, just call Bluewater Realty and they will fix it. Thanks so much for staying at Sea Castle!!!

Dear guests, thank you for staying at Sea Castle cottage. We appreciate your support and hope you had a wonderful time. We just replaced the stove on the West unit, thanks to the help of Bluewater Maintenance. Those little 20 inch wide ovens are pricey and hard to find, but it's the only kind that will fit in the kitchen.
Larry and I will be going there soon to get the house ready for winter. I do the driving now since his many health and vision issues, but he's gradually getting better. So we rely more on Bluewater Realty to keep our beloved Sea Castle in top top condition.
We hope you had a great Thanksgiving and look forward to a very Merry Christmas!

Dear Sea Castle guests, we are taking quotes for new windows for both units that will better protect our beloved little cottage from storms. The ocean is great but we like to keep it outside!

Dear Guests,
Sea Castle East has a new electric griddle and crockpot. West side already had them. Sea Castle West has a new microwave oven. Would you believe it rusted inside? Eating out has become so pricy, more vacationers are cooking in, so we want to provide you with everything you need. But the charcoal grills folks left behind were very rusty, so,we got rid of them. Hoping our cozy cottage has everything you need for a happy week on the beach!

Dear Sea Castle guests,
Thanks for staying with us, and we are looking forward to another great season! Larry and I are here doing deep cleaning and maintenance. Washing the siding and windows, touching up the paint, replacing worn out and missing items are keeping us busy. Replaced 3 mini blinds broken by folks peeking out, replaced rusty screen door hinges, put up a beautiful new flag, washing all the mattress covers and bedding keeps us busy. But today the weather was so warm and sunny, we enjoyed some beach walking and porch sitting! Dolphins frolicking in the surf, gulls and pelicans soaring overhead and thousands of shells washed ashore were a treat to see!
Tomorrow the rain will return and we will return to our chores.
I keep telling Larry that we need to stop renting the West side and enjoy it ourselves while we can. He is recovering from a stroke, which prevents him from driving, and we aren't getting any younger, in our 70s. Maybe next year!
