You know you’ve arrived when you see The Shell. Erected in 2007 and designed by Scottish sculptor Malcolm Robertson, this striking sculpture represents a Horse Conch—the Florida State Shell.

Composed of 520 stainless steel pieces, The Shell forms a transparent, skeletal structure that reveals the beautiful geometry of the shell’s internal chambers. It stands at the center of the roundabout just outside the entrance to Englewood Beach Villas, flanked by some of our favorite local restaurants. Just across the street, you’ll find the beach waiting in the background.

Get away from it all without going far. The perfect staycation spot. Everything you want in a vacation rental and more. The beach is across the street. You can rent a sup board, kayak, boat or jet ski nearby. Plenty of fishing spots. Great restaurants and beach bars. And, of course, the wonderous wildlife and perfect sunsets.

Lazy summer days and nights on Manasota Key. Couldn't think of a better getaway. The water is warm, plenty of sea life. Catch a pod of dolphins or an aggregation of manatees swimming by. Rent a kayak or a sup board and explore the mangroves during the day. Enjoy great dining and local bands in the evening. Come home to one of the most modern and comfortable villas, just across the street. Weeks in August still available.
