The place to be on Friday is downtown Enid. "First Friday" is kicking off tomorrow. It is a lot of fun, and if you have never shopped or checked out the restaurants its the perfect time.

I guess I need to close the windows. The wind is blowing so hard it is rattling the vintage lamp I have on the table.

Oklahoma where the wind comes sweeping down the plains!!

P.S. Plus, its kind of chilly. Its 48°with wind gusts up to 46 mph.

I have had this Burwood Peacock in my closet for a few years. I get it out every now and then and hang it up on the wall in Suite Divine and then I promptly take it down.

Tonight, my mom and I added some paint. It is not done yet; I have to add a little blue to it (still have to find just the right color) but at least it did not go back into the closet this time.

Amanda came in from Lawton to volunteer at the free dental clinic in Enid at the Stride Center on Feb 6th.

She is stationed at Ft. Sill.

Shout out to Amanda and Oklahoma Mission of Mercy for putting on a much needed clinic for our community. The next one is February 5, 2027. Mark your calendars now.

Amanda said she got the best sleep at Southard House Bed and Breakfast. I hope she brings some other dental workers with her next time. The comfortable beds and quiet rooms will be waiting.

Steve and Debbie from Edmond stayed at the Southard House over Valentine's Day.

Steve surprised Debbie with a beautiful bouquet of roses. She was delighted! They were beautiful.

They were a very sweet couple who love to travel. I'm glad they chose the Southard House for their weekend get-a-way.

Big salute to Jerome and Patricia. They are both Veterans. Thank you for your service to our country.

Jerome and Patricia stayed at the Southard House last night. They arrived late since they were traveling from Indiana. They are planning to retire in Oklahoma and are looking for a place in or around Enid.

I look forward to seeing them again. I enjoyed their company and they gave me the best hugs when they left. They promised they would be back again to try out another room on their next visit to Oklahoma.

Most years I just turn the TV on for the commercials, but this year I probably wont even do that. I have too much to do-like fix a leaky faucet in the kitchen.

I bought a name tag to wear while I have guests to help make them comfortable with remembering my name.

Today I decided as soon as I get done with subbing, I will take my EPS badge off and put my name tag on to advertise for Southard House Bed and Breakfast.

It worked! I was getting groceries and the checker asked me about the B&B. THREE people heard about the B&B while I was standing there.

It's genius! Definitely one of my better ideas. 🤩🤩🤩
