In a matter of weeks, we’ve gone from full ice coverage on Lake Erie to nearly a complete thaw, and now, Presque Isle’s shoreline is taking yet another beating.

It’s a clear reminder of why sand nourishment is so critical. Our shorelines need to be continually protected.

As a direct support organization for Presque Isle State Park, we feel a responsibility to advocate for the federal funding needed to protect it.

Wind: Northeast at 5–10 mph shifting to north later

Humidity: Around 65% early, easing slightly into the afternoon

Lake Erie near Erie: Water temp ~79 °F—warm and inviting

Presque Isle Bay: Slightly warmer at ~79.5 °F, ideal for swimming or paddling
