This campground is one of cleanest campgrounds in the state of Minnesota! We have a small convenience store that sell’s everything you might forget to bring along with you to camp and fish, and they even have hand dipped ice cream! (YUM!) We sell gas for boats on Union Lake and are very reasonable with all of our pricing throughout the campground. Fishing is great on both lakes for all northern tier species except for Muskie’s, Rock Bass, and trout (there are no Muskie’s, Rock Bass or Trout in either Lake Sarah or Union Lake)! The lakes are better known for fishing but there are some water skiers and jet skiers on both lakes (pretty weedy for that kind of stuff except in our swimming area)! There are restroom facilities on both lake campgrounds with showers for them quick cleanups after a day’s fun. Union Lake has a pavilion for birthday parties, family reunions and small events.. So come out and give it a try. I’m sure you will love the experience.

Reminder for our neighbors as well as campers, our trails are closed when the campground is closed, from October 1 to May 1. This includes all the trails north and west of the campground, including the area west of the barn and the new playground.

We do hunt the property, so this is partly for everyone’s safety as well as a good hunt. We may be engaged in forest management activities at times, and we like to give the wildlife a little space. As it starts to warm up, we also want to protect the trails through the spring thaw.

We are looking for long reach excavator to borrow/rent to repair our boat landing on Union. Does anyone in the area have one? They are not an easy thing to find.

We are going to have the water on for this weekend. Most likely starting to turn it off Sunday or Monday. The store will be open but with limited hours and limited in what we have, as im going to be working on end of season inventory and such. But we will have Ice Cream and coffee until supplies run out. :)

Just an FYI for ULSC campers. The county assessor will be walking the park at some point of time in October. They will be checking tabs on campers so just want to make sure they are up to date so you don't have to pay a fee for it.

ULSC stores hours for the rest of this season are as followed

Monday-closed
Tuesday-closed
Wednesday-closed (though I’ll be doing paperwork in the store so if I’m here feel free to come in. I much rather scoop ice cream or make coffee vs do paperwork anyway)
Thursday- 12pm-5pm
Friday 12pm-8pm
Saturday 8am-8pm
Sunday 8am -5pm

These will be our hours for the store for the rest of this summer, and most likely when we reopen in the spring. Though I’ll post if that changes at all.

Closing date for the store is when we shut off the water to the campground and we plan to do that around the 1st of October but it is dependent on weather. So we will post when we know for sure.

Tonight from 7pm until 11pm we have a DJ in the red Barn to celebrate Matt Ballstad’s birthday.

Bring your own drink, if you want you can bring a snack/treat to share but there will be some snack food.

The ULSC store will be closing at 8pm tonight. I will post with updated hours soon.

We are going to be cutting back a little bit for the rest of the season just because people are busy/low traffic coming in and out and such. But if you get here and we are not here you can text us and we will let you know if we can come over and help or not. Hope everyone has a great fall/winter!
