With Spring and Summer right around the corner and the road getting fixed, we have noticed an increase in visitors. This is a friendly reminder that Nolichucky Gorge Campground is still CLOSED to the public. USA Raft is also currently still closed to the public as well.
We are doing our best to rebuild and reopen. Until then, we request all visitors refrain from driving/ walking onto property. It is a safety risk with debris still piled up and building materials stacked up. Due to that safety risk, visitors will be asked to leave the property!
If you wish to volunteer, please email [email protected] and we will respond as quickly as possible!
Please follow this page for any updates in regards to the reopening!
We will make a post as soon as we are ready for visitors!

Thank you,
NGC Management

Just a reminder, due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, we will be closed to the public until further notice. We respectfully ask that visitors refrain from visiting the property at this time. For the safety of our residents and everyone else, we request there to be as little traffic as possible, not only on the property, but on Jones Branch Rd as well. Our road has yet to be repaired and remains unstable. We must preserve it the best we can so our permanent residents have a safe passage in and out of their homes.
For those asking how to help, we will be scheduling another volunteer day in the Spring. For any questions or concerns, you may email us at [email protected], and we will respond to you as soon as possible.

Thank you!

Tomorrow, Saturday November 16th, we will be having a volunteer day. We need help raking leaves and cleaning up debris from the flood.
We intend to start at 10:00am. If you would like to volunteer, please bring rakes, tarps, and shovels.
We ask all volunteers to proceed on foot, atv, or 4-wheeler at the gate. Please do not pass the gate in a vehicle! Our road is still vulnerable and there are two washed out sections past the gate.

Our friend from the Nolichucky Outdoor Learning Institute, Scott Fisher, has graciously created a GoFundMe on our behalf. This is the only verified donation set up for the campground!
We want to thank all the volunteers we've had to help us in our clean up efforts. All donations are greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,
Nolichucky Gorge Campground

We at Nolichucky Gorge Campground would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation for those that have helped us during this time. Thank you to everyone that has brought in supplies, helped our residents evacuate, and even helped with clean up efforts and make the road safer for transporting people and supplies.
Unfortunately, due to unsafe road conditions, we must now ask that the road to the campground be used as little as possible until it is rebuilt. Certain spots in the road are continuing to crumble, making it unsafe for travel. We want our community to stay safe! So, until further notice, please utilize Jones Branch Road as little as possible for your own safety and wellbeing.
We appreciate your cooperation. We cannot express how much we have appreciated the community and all the help and support you have given us.

Sincerely,
Nolichucky Gorge Campground staff

Greetings and Welcome to the 2023 Camping Season!

We have made some changes here at The Nolichucky Gorge Campground and Cabins for this season. We have started taking reservations for ten (10) Riverfront tent campsites instead of the old policy of first come first serve. The Bowl area will continue to be the 'first come first serve' overflow with five (5) sites.

We have added a new cabin rental by revamping the Old Hostel building to accommodate a group of seven (7). It still is without a bathroom but it sits to the right of the bathhouse toward the river.

There are six (6) available RV sites on the loop-four (4) on Riverfront and two (2) on Trailside.

Most of the back half of the campground has gone to Long Term Rentals which start at three (3) months. There are still a few nightly rentals sites in The Pines.

We also have the Loft Apartment over the office that is ready for a long term tenant- max two (2) people

Our website has been updated so please check it out for the latest information, you can call the office and talk to Amanda or Merriah. There is a website link for e-mail or send us an e-mail at [email protected].

Come see us, it's a beautiful place- we're hard at work to keep it that way.
