Explore the beautiful Bear Lake area.
Take the easy walk around Bear Lake, or continue to:
โข Nymph Lake
โข Dream Lake
โข Emerald Lake
โข Alberta Falls
๐ฅช 12:00 PM
Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the park's scenic picnic areas or head back into Estes Park for lunch.
๐๏ธ 1:30 PM
Drive the world-famous Trail Ridge Road (weather permitting), stopping at overlooks along the way for incredible mountain views.
๐ธ 3:30 PM
Visit the Alpine Visitor Center at nearly 12,000 feet and take in panoramic views above the treeline.
๐ฆ 5:00 PM
On your way back, drive through Moraine Park or Horseshoe Park, two of the best places to spot elk and other wildlife.
๐ฝ๏ธ Evening
Head into downtown Estes Park for dinner, ice cream, shopping, or a relaxing walk along the Riverwalk.
๐จ Then come back to Hotel Estes, relax in our hot tub, and get ready for another day of mountain adventures.
๐ Bonus Tip: Weekdays in Estes Park are quieter right now, making late August/beginning of September one of our favorite times to visit before the fall rush begins. You'll often find shorter waits, easier parking, and a more relaxed experience. You can also often find weekday timed entry reservations to Bear Lake corridor last minute- released the night prior.
