That’s what we love most about Estes Park. It has a way of slowing things down and bringing families together.

To all the dads, grandpas, stepdads, and father figures who help create those memories, thank you for everything you do.

Just before reaching Sky Pond, you’re rewarded with one of the most beautiful sights in Rocky Mountain National Park—towering waterfalls cascading down the cliffs and incredible alpine views in every direction. 💦🏔️

Sky Pond has long been one of our all-time favorite hikes in the park. Located in the Bear Lake Corridor, this iconic trail takes you past Alberta Falls, The Loch, Timberline Falls, and eventually to the stunning alpine lake surrounded by dramatic peaks.

The hike is challenging, but every step is worth it. The waterfalls near the top are one of those places that make you stop, catch your breath, and simply take it all in.

If you’re visiting Estes Park and looking for an unforgettable adventure, Sky Pond belongs on your bucket list.

🏔️ Looking for a quick adventure right in downtown Estes Park?

The Birch Ruins are one of Estes Park’s hidden gems. This short and easy hike leads to the remains of Albert Birch’s stone bungalow, offering beautiful views overlooking downtown Estes Park, Lake Estes, and the surrounding Rocky Mountains.

It's the perfect spot for a morning walk, sunset views, photography, or a little local history. Many visitors drive right past it without ever knowing it's there!

One of the best parts of visiting Estes Park is never knowing what wildlife you might encounter on a hike! 🫎

We spotted this mama moose and her baby near Nymph Lake today. While the skies are a little cloudy, Rocky Mountain National Park is beautiful in every season and every kind of weather. From sunny mountain views to misty lakes and unexpected wildlife sightings, there’s always something magical waiting around the next bend in the trail.

A must-experience in Estes is the quiet mornings, with plenty of parking, and enjoying the River Walk. The playground is empty, paths are clear, benches are open, and the Big Thompson River is rushing, creating the relaxing sounds of water to start your day.

Reminder to admire the beautiful Elk of The Rockies from afar. If you close one eye, hold your thumb up over the Elk and can still see it, you are dangerously close!

Momma Elk are especially protective of their babies at this time, and are more aggressive. Stay safe and enjoy your wild life sightings!
