🎃👻 IS IT TIME FOR HALLOWEEN TO RETURN TO THE FAIRY HUT? 👻🎃

We need your help making a very important Fairy Hut decision…

Back in 2023, we threw Halloween ALL OVER The Fairy Hut. 😂

Lights. Skeletons. Spooky creatures. A porch full of Halloween. The lot got involved. Pretty much anything that could glow, hang, rattle, lurk or look suspicious after dark found a home.

Then came 2024 — nothing.

And 2025 — nothing again.

Two Halloweens without a properly spooky Fairy Hut just might be enough.

Especially considering where we are.

The Fairy Hut sits just up and past Lake Lucerne, and if you’ve spent much time around Eureka Springs, you already know that sometimes the line between local history, ghost story and something you actually saw gets a little blurry.

My husband, Albyrt, has seen the same young girl along Lake Lucerne more than once.

She’s standing near the edge of the road.

Dressed in what appears to be 1930s clothing.

And she’s soaking wet.

Then she’s gone.

So perhaps a place called The Fairy Hut, just up the road from our mysterious wet girl, has a certain responsibility to participate in Halloween. 👻🧚‍♀️

Which brings us to 2026…

SHOULD WE BRING HALLOWEEN BACK TO THE FAIRY HUT?

And if we do, WHEN SHOULD WE START DECORATING? 🎃

September 1 — Halloween people understand.

Mid-September — a little restraint.

October 1 — perfectly respectable.

Or whenever that first cool Ozark evening hits and you suddenly feel like something is watching you from the woods. 👀

But we have another question this year…

WHEN DOES HALLOWEEN COME DOWN?

Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and taking everything down Sunday, November 1st, just seems a little cruel.

Would you leave it all up through the following weekend so our early-November guests still get to experience a little Fairy Hut Halloween?

🎃 November 1 — It’s over. Take it down!

👻 Leave it through the following weekend — let the spooky linger!

💀 Keep it up until somebody complains.

And we’d really like to hear what YOU do.

When do your Halloween decorations go UP…and when do they come DOWN?

We’re taking votes.

After sitting out Halloween in 2024 AND 2025, maybe 2026 is the year The Fairy Hut gets spooky again. 🎃💀👻🧚‍♀️

According to local wildlife, Eureka’s Entertainment District contains:
🐿️ 1 judgmental squirrel
👻 Several ghosts
🌈 A rainbow for everyone
🎨 More artists than parking spaces
✌️ Hippies
🎶 Live music
⛪ One giant Jesus
❤️ A whole lot of people just trying to be themselves.

Sounds like a pretty interesting neighborhood.

Jamboreeka is next week and we're going all out for America's 250th birthday party. We will have JukeBoxx Party Band bringing the good vibes, food vendors, drinks, games, and when the sun goes down... the best firework show in NWA!

The Eureka Springs Parks and Recreation booth will be selling t-shirts, stickers, magnets, and ice-cold beverages. We will also have a limited amount of special cake pops from Cake Pops by Kenna.

Don't forget to buy your premium parking passes on eurekaparks.com to help support the Parks and Recreation Department. Additional parking will be at Hidden Valley Guest Ranch. All proceeds for additional parking go to support Clear Spring School!

🧚‍♀️✨ From Noodle Art to Peace Poles… Meet the Artist Behind Some of The Fairy Hut’s Magic! ✨🧚‍♀️

My incredibly talented niece, Emma Palmer, visitedThe Fairy Hut!

Guests often notice the two colorful Peace Poles that welcome them at the entrance. What many don’t know is that both were hand-painted and gifted to The Fairy Hut by Emma. ☮️🌈

Emma’s artistic journey started early. When she was just 9 years old, she created amazing “Noodle Art” sculptures that earned recognition and amazed everyone who saw them. One of those original creations still hangs proudly inside The Fairy Hut today.

Well… things just got a little more magical (and a little more chaotic) up at the Fairy Hut 🧚‍♂️✨

We’ve added a brand new adult coloring book by one of our very own Eureka Springs legends—local artist, dog whisperer, and certified lover of all things four-legged 🐾

So now, in between porch sittin’, mountain gazin’, and whatever mischief the Ozarks inspire… you can grab the coloring pens, crack open this book, and let your inner woodland gremlin run wild.

Stay inside the lines… or don’t. We don’t judge here.

BUT—we do want to see what you create 👀
