In partnership with the City of Eureka’s response efforts, we’re honored to offer support to members of the Hoopa community who have been displaced.

Our 23-room boutique hotel is honored to offer a safe and welcoming place for members of the Hoopa community during this difficult time. Our thoughts are with everyone affected, and we’re grateful to be able to provide comfort and support when it’s needed most.

While our rooms are fully booked this weekend, we have a few small guest rooms (each sleeping two) available for a 1-2 night stay starting Sunday through Wednesday. Please email [email protected] with your request, including your phone number — we’ll be entering all inquiries into a drawing and will notify selected guests by Saturday, late afternoon.

We know the fire and heavy smoke are taking a toll. If you’d like to get away for a few hours, we invite you to come spend some time in Eureka. From now through the weekend, Hoopa residents can show an ID with a Hoopa address at each location to enjoy:

🐻 Sequoia Park Zoo - Free admission. Up to four children may accompany each adult with a Hoopa ID.
⛴️ Madaket Bay Cruise - Complimentary rides with a Hoopa ID. Space is limited, so please call 707-445-1910 to reserve your spot.
🎨 Morris Graves Museum of Art - Free admission, plus two special events on Sunday:
Mini Masters, 8/16,12 - 2 pm - Story time, games, art activities, and a free book for families.
W**e & Jazz, 8/16, 3 - 5 pm - Live music featuring Francis Vanek with the RLA Trio.
🎉 Friday Night Market – Friday from 5:30 - 8:30 pm in Old Town. No ID required for this event.

We hope these activities offer a little respite and a chance to enjoy some clearer air.

Watching this made us so proud to call Humboldt County home. We’re tucked inside the Historic Eagle House in Old Town Eureka — just a short drive from these giants— including the skywalk at Sequoia Park, and we still catch ourselves in awe every time we’re out among them. If you’re planning a trip to see what David Muir was talking about, we’d love to have you stay with us, then wind down with a cocktail in Humboldt’s favorite library bar Phatsy Kline's Parlor Lounge.
