2025 Season Wrap-Up
Thanks to everyone who stayed at the lodge and shared their photos. Here's to hoping for another mild winter and a good nesting season! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Holidays to everyone and we'll see you in '26!

We're a month and a half out from the opener. The cover looks great. The birds had a mild winter, a good nesting season and reports are all good. Should be another banger of a season! The lodge is clean and ready. New for '25 is Wi-Fi and Smart TV. There are still some weeks available.

2024 Season wrap-up
Thanks to everyone who stayed at the lodge and who shared their photos. It was another great season! Bird numbers were up again and everyone I talked to did well.
Only a few groups have rebooked for next year so far, so there is quite a bit of availability.

The Lodge is clean and ready for the quickly approaching season! A new table to tell stories around, a new furnace and a little fresh paint as well.
Cover looks excellent and bird numbers appear...STRONG! The countdown is on!

Some more new flooring, a little bigger TV and a couple other odds and ends done this week in preparation for the season in addition to a thorough cleaning. Temps ranged from 101 to 44 within 2 days but everything looks great. Habitat looks very green and healthy. A month and a half and we'll be back at it! This season should be a good one!

Got some new flooring in the kitchen and bathroom this week despite some high heat! Conditions and habitat looks great and there is zero drought condition here currently! Driving around every evening I saw piles of roosters, more than I can ever remember! So with more timely rains and a good remainder of the nesting season this fall should be one to remember!

Another successful work trip done ✔️
The refrigerator along with the final two entry doors have been replaced and a couple smaller projects completed. Came upon a little "hidden history" in the form of a newspaper from 1947 in the wall. Thanks to the hard work of my lovely bride the lodge is spotless and ready for the upcoming season.

On that note, they haven't had much rain here in the last month or so and things are starting to get dry but it certainly looks a lot "healthier" than last year at this time! Everyone I talk to says it was a great spring and summer and have been seeing good bird numbers. Time will tell of course but everything is pointing towards a good year! We still have some open weeks for this season, call for info.
