On Saturday, we gathered at Eutaw Springs to remember every heart and soul who fought, suffered, and gave everything during the American Revolution.

September 8, 1781, was the day of the Battle of Eutaw Springs—the final major open-field engagement of the Revolutionary War in the Carolinas. Patriots under Major General Nathanael Greene faced British forces commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Stewart in one of the bloodiest and most fiercely contested battles of the Southern Campaign.

Today, we remember not only the victors, but every soul who stood on this sacred ground.
