It is with great sadness to share our beloved neighbor, friend, and CPT for many Inn tours over the last 15 years, CPT Barry Bruce, passed away. CPT Barry shared his love of Smith Island to countless guests of the Inn and many additional tourists.

His wife, Sharon, shared her passion for the Island and was a beloved member of the Smith Island Family until her retirement last year.

We offer our sincere condolences to Sharon, his daughters, Anita (Mark) and Valerie (Mark), his grandchildren and great grandchildren, his extended family, and the many friends who will continue to miss him.

Openings Available for the Watermen's Dinner Weekend on November 1.

We are open this fall welcoming cooler temperatures, amazing scenery and birds migrating for the upcoming Winter. Fall is an amazing time to visit Smith Island.

Our final tourist's reservations will end November 23, 2025.

We are still available for commercial customers throughout the winter for workers and others needing to stay on the Island off season.
