📣 BIG NEWS FROM ROCK BOTTOM! 📣

After much thought, we're excited to announce that Rock Bottom Horse Camp is officially becoming Rock Bottom Campground & Stables!

Before anyone worries, let us assure you of one thing:

🐴 We are NOT moving away from our equestrian roots. 🐴

Horse campers, trail riders, and their horses have always been the heart of what we do, and that isn't changing. We'll continue offering horse-friendly camping, stalls, corrals, and easy access to the incredible trails of Cumberland Gap National Historical Park.

So why the change?

Over the years, we've discovered that many RV campers, tent campers, hikers, families, and outdoor enthusiasts assumed our campground was only for people with horses. The truth is, we've always welcomed everyone!

Our new name better reflects who we are today:

🏕️ A campground for all outdoor lovers
🐴 A destination for horse campers and trail riders
🌄 A place to enjoy the beauty of Cumberland Gap
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 A family-friendly camping experience

Whether you're arriving with a horse trailer, an RV, a tent, or just a desire to get away and enjoy the mountains, you'll find a place here at Rock Bottom Campground & Stables.

Same owners. Same beautiful views. Same great trails. Same horse-friendly atmosphere.

Just a new name that lets everyone know they're welcome.

Looking for a peaceful getaway this Independence Day weekend? Come escape to Rock Bottom Campground & Stables for a relaxing weekend of camping, hiking, campfires, starry skies, and enjoying the beauty of the mountains.

We still have campsites available for RV campers, tent campers, and anyone just looking to unplug for the holiday weekend!

⚠️ Important Note for Our Horse Campers:
Due to the large amount of fireworks being set off throughout the surrounding area during the holiday weekend, we do NOT recommend bringing horses this weekend for their safety and comfort.

If you’ve been needing a quiet place to recharge (with some area fireworks), this is the perfect excuse to get away.

Looking for something to do this weekend? Come out to Rock Bottom and enjoy a peaceful weekend with a great view!

There is a rodeo Friday and Saturday night just down the road at Rockin' A Ranch. Hensley Settlement and Cave tours have started at the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park and Martin Station at Wilderness Road State Park is always a fun place to visit.

The weather has cleared up with only a 30% chance of 🌧️ and mid 70s

🤠🐂 The NCA Pro Rodeo is coming to Rockin’ A Ranch in Ewing, VA this Friday & Saturday, May 29-30!

Get ready for a full night of rodeo action featuring roping, broncs, barrel racing, bulls, and rodeo clown entertainment the whole family will enjoy! Plus pony rides, a petting zoo, food trucks, and live music by Blake Branscom.
