kind of can’t believe this is our life.

Living surrounded by nature, sharing our days with the best little farm rescues, and getting to do it all alongside a community that truly shows up for us.

There’s the muddy boots, the early mornings, the animal cuddles, the flowers, the fresh air, the unexpected chaos…
And then there are the people who make it all possible.
The ones who visit, volunteer, donate, bring their families, share our story, and remind us that what we’re creating matters.

We’re deeply grateful for this life.

A life with animals.
A life in nature.
A life surrounded by good people.

Honestly, what more could we ask for?

When I first saw this place, I didn’t just see what was here. I imagined what it could become.

I pictured roses blooming everywhere. Flowers filling the gardens. Rescued animals finding a safe place to call home. I imagined a place that felt peaceful, beautiful, and full of life.

Little by little, that picture in my mind is becoming real.
There are still things I want to plant, spaces I want to create, and dreams I haven’t gotten to yet. But sometimes I have to stop looking at what’s next and look at what’s already here.
The roses are blooming.

The flowers are growing.

The animals are home.

And this place I once only imagined is becoming Hacienda de las Rosas.

What a gift it is to watch a dream grow right in front of you.
Today, I’m not thinking about what still needs to be done. I’m simply grateful for how far this little dream has come.

River came to us from a nearby ranch. He had never really been around people or experienced the kind of love that comes from having a forever home. At first, he was timid and unsure, but with endless patience from Amanda and our farm family, he slowly began to trust.

Before long, River found his favorite place, his very own Duck Condo. It became his little sanctuary where he spent many peaceful spring mornings soaking up the sunshine, taking naps, and reminding us that even the smallest souls deserve a place to feel safe.

Just a few weeks ago, we received heartbreaking news. River was diagnosed with cancer.

No matter how much time we have with the animals who call Hacienda Happy Tails home, our promise is always the same: they will know love, kindness, and the comfort of a family who will be with them every step of the way.
River, thank you for trusting us. Thank you for letting us be part of your story. You will always be one of ours.

Let’s slow down. Let’s breathe a little deeper.

Get outside. Talk a walk around the block.

Wander through the gardens, create something beautiful with flowers, spend time with your pets, and let nature remind you that life doesn’t always have to move so fast.

Sometimes the most meaningful moments aren’t the loudest. They’re the quiet ones that stay with you long after the online scrolling.

I get to wake up every morning surrounded by rescued farm animals. Horses, alpacas, goats, sheep, rabbits, ducks, chickens... each one has a story, and somehow our paths crossed.

I can’t believe this is our life.

What started as helping one animal has grown into a place filled with second chances, healing, and so much love. Every fence built, every early morning, every late-night emergency, every muddy boot... it has all been worth it.
I’m so grateful that these beautiful souls trust us to be their forever home. They have taught me more about resilience, forgiveness, and unconditional love than I could have ever imagined.

Thank you to everyone who visits, buys flowers, stays at the farm, volunteers, or simply cheers us on. Because of you, these animals have a safe place to call home.
My heart is so full, and I will never stop being grateful for this beautiful, messy life.

Flowers have a way of reminding us that creating is good for the soul.

Watching each person at our workshop gather stems, play with color, and slowly transform simple blooms into something uniquely their own reminded me that floral design is its own kind of art. There are no mistakes, only different ways of telling a story.

Thank you to everyone who spent your morning with us, laughing, creating, and embracing the beauty that grows all around us. Your bouquets were as unique as the people who made them, and that’s exactly what made them beautiful.
I already can’t wait for the next one.
