Eve said yes on New Years Eve 2019 in Ester Alaska. We stayed on the hill at the Vista Valley Guesthouse. What an amazing magical place. So quite and peaceful with an endless horizon view.

Typical frosty view of the road in wintertime Fairbanks. Air so cold the smoke stands still like a painting.
Ice buildup is inevitable (temps are too low for salt to have any effect round here) so the roads and highways are regularly graveled for added traction. -Which is why you can find cracks running through this rugged, gravel pestered front windshield portrait - as is so, sooo common in these parts!
