It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that I inform the Brethren of Mount Hope Lodge of the passing of our esteemed Brother, Worshipful Brother Bruce Alderson, an affiliated member of our Lodge and a devoted member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Worshipful Brother Alderson has laid down his working tools after a courageous illness, and has been called from labor to refreshment by the Great Architect of the Universe. His presence, wisdom, and quiet strength will be deeply missed, as he is now absent from the roll call of the Craft.
As Masons, we take solemn comfort in the knowledge that his labors here on Earth were upright and true, and that he now resides in that Celestial Lodge above, where the Supreme Grand Master forever presides.
Please join me in extending our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who were touched by his life and Masonic journey.

My Brothers,

If you’re still digging out from yesterday, take it easy out there — that snow was the heavy, back-talking kind. Lift small shovelfuls, bend those knees (yes, you still have them), and take a breather now and then.

We may meet on the level, but that snow was definitely not. No need for heroics — the driveway will still be there tomorrow.

Stay safe, Brothers… and reward yourselves with a hot cup of coffee when you’re done.
