We have a torn up street sign. This winter wind picked up bit higher and the sign fabric was not cut out to sustain heavy wind and it got ripped...! We are trying to fix it but that sign prompted a valued guest to take time and write us a letter that I would like to share with you!!!! We feel honored that she took time to write!!! Thank you...
Hello Peter,
My friend and I stayed at your hotel a few nights ago. Let me start off by saying that we were pleased with our room and the lady that worked there. We made our reservation sight unseen over the Internet therefore you never know what you are going to get. Our room was clean and we were cheerfully greeted upon our arrival.
As an out of town customer who has never seen your hotel before I hope you don't mind if I make one suggestion. When we drove up to the hotel and saw the tattered sign out front my friend and I looked at one another and said "do you want to go somewhere else" After sitting on the street for a few minutes we decided to at least go up and see the room. I'm glad we did because the actual room was in good condition. I know that the sign was damaged over the winter and it is expensive to fix but as a customer driving by I would not have stopped to even look at the place had we not already made a reservation. Even then we were hesitant. My suggestion from the outside looking in is to at least remove the tattered sign that is there until it can be replaced and maybe put a temporary canvas sign up or something until you can get a new one. I really believe the curb appeal is costing you money in the long run.
I hope you take this in the right way and not as an insult but I know if my friend and I were leery of staying there because of the entrance other people are passing by what is otherwise a nice value for the money and a clean hotel that is convenient to the Parkway.
Just my 2 cents.
Thanks
Andrea Franklin
*By the way... If you wondering, I did take her permission to post this letter!!!!!! lol
