We had no idea when we bought this house what lied underneath the old carpet! Layers and layers of paint and finish. We had some amazing contractors that brought her back to life!

What began as a renovation quickly became something we truly loved creating together. We wanted to preserve the character of this beautiful Farmville home while creating a comfortable place where families and friends could stay together when visiting town.

We’ve put a lot of ourselves into this house — from the renovation and furnishings to all the little details that make it feel like home.

And while you'll certainly see plenty of beautiful pictures of the house here, we also want this page to feel a little more personal.

We'll be sharing more of the story behind The First Avenue House, our favorite places around Farmville, what's happening at Longwood, behind-the-scenes moments, and of course, everything you need to plan your stay.
