Screaming Eagle Lodge Screaming Eagle Lodge One of the original structures built (1917) in Fawnskin , CA (North Shore of Big Bear Lake).

A historic lodge/cabin being stabilized, preserved, rehabilitated, restored, & updated by Steve & Theresa Downey of Orange County, CA. Fawnskin's elevation is 6,827, & has a population of 311 as of 2019, compared to Big Bear Lake with a population of 5,241, & an elevation of 6752. Big Bear Lake is a ten minute drive from Fawnskin.

Congratulations to Jackie and Shadow on their Easter miracle as two hatchlings have arrived. First chick hatched on 4/4/26 at about 9:30pm and the second chick arrived this morning, 4/5/26 at about 8:30am Pacific time. We are all thrilled for Jackie & Shadow. - Trish ❤️ 🦅 ❤️

Good Friday reminds us that nothing we carry is heavier than what He carried for us. It looked like defeat, but was actually redemption. It looked like the end, but was the beginning of salvation. It is finished - John 19:30 🙏✝️. Today, we remember the sacrifice, Sunday we’ll celebrate the victory.

I set the alarm ⏰ for 3:20 AM to see this mornings Blood Moon 🩸🌖🌘🌔. The peak, when the moon is deepest red, was expected around 3:33 AM. God’s universe 🙏✝️ , & the beauty of the night sky did not disappoint 🤩💫✨⭐️. I was surprised to see how vibrant the red was when I zoomed in. It’s challenging capturing pics 📷 with my phone📱without shaking 🫨 , but I’m glad I got up for this event.
