Killens Pond State Park is 1,443 acres of land located in Felton, Delaware. We are about an hour from Wilmington, and two hours from Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington DC. The Murderkill River's natural bounty drew Native Americans and settlers to the ancient waterways. The remaining habitat surrounding the millpond provides a recreational oasis for today's visitors.

As Halloween quickly approaches, it is time highlight one of our favorite Cryptids Bigfoot. Bigfoot is a large, two-legged creature known to walk around forests, usually in the Pacific Northwest, but there have been some reported sightings in Delaware. As with any cryptid there is much debate if Bigfoot exisits or not.

If you want to learn more about Bigfoot or cryptids, come join the cryptid hikes that are a part of Harvest Havoc on October 24th and October 31st. Hikes will be held at the campground pavilion at 2, 3, and 4 pm. Hikes are free with paid park admission.

Killens Pond will be hosting a youth deer hunt and lottery this year. 🦌
Read on to learn how to participate
📅The lottery will be held on Saturday October 31 at 10am at campground pavilion 4 (located at 3015 Paradise Alley Road). Youth hunters will leave that day knowing if they secured a stand for the youth hunt on Saturday November 7.
To participate in the lottery, youth hunters (ages 10-15) and their adult mentors (21+) will need to:
• Possess a junior hunting license (youth hunters 13-15) or a license exempt number (youth hunters 10-12)
• Possess a Delaware hunting license or be hunting license exempt (mentors)
• Register for the Delaware State Parks hunting program
