We want to inform our community that, effective immediately, Mujeres Valley Campground and its affiliated events are no longer associated with Dough Daddy's Delights.

This decision follows a formal review of recent communications and conduct that were found to be inconsistent with our Vendor Agreement and our commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and professional environment for our staff, vendors, volunteers, and guests.

Our organization holds all partners to clear standards of professionalism, collaboration, and community safety. When those standards are not upheld, we take appropriate action to protect our team and the integrity of our events.

We will not be providing further public comment on this matter. We appreciate the continued support of our community and remain committed to hosting positive, welcoming experiences for all.

One of the ways we determine if our area has had a dry or wet monsoon season is by this open field we call “Elk Lane”.

We named it Elk Lane because when hunting season is over it’s very easy to see herd of elk over 100+ freely roaming these fields.

And although we’re excited the highlighter field of yellow sunflowers has returned… It’s extremely late in monsoon season and we’ve had them a month sooner in past years. So for our area of Cibola County it’s been a DRY DRY DRY monsoons season.

MUJERES VALLEY IS THE MISSION!

In 2017 we found land that we had to fight for to keep under our care. Why was that important? We learned that certain people were running off people of color. So when we were targeted and debated whether to leave or stay, we both landed on the same answer.

We had to stay. Multiple mixed families of color had experienced the same targeting and we felt the weight of responsibility to stay and make sure no other family of color moves into the area without being properly prepared for some of the types@of people that are here and don’t want Indigenous people reclaiming our land.

During the we let people we know were available to help with transitioning to an area like this or directing people on what to research when looking into other places.

We are running for America’s Favorite Couple because we plan on using the $20,000 prize help us continue to ethically & sustainability develop the campground & fairground with tent platforms and cowboy huts for all seasons!
