WHY WE LEAVE COMMENTS UP

When we posted about Juneteenth, we had quite the reaction. Some great, some loving, and many hateful.

We chose not to delete them.

Pretending racism no longer exists doesn't make it disappear.

These comments tell you it is alive and well.

Campit has always been a place where people from every race, background, identity, and orientation are welcome. We believe everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued.
If seeing those comments made you uncomfortable, imagine being the people they're directed toward.

That's exactly why conversations like this still matter.

We will continue to celebrate diversity.
We will continue to stand against hate.
