It’s been an unusual year and half… so glad that things are slowly but steadily going back to normal! People starts to travel again but with caution. We just had a wonderful review by our guest who stayed last week. 🥰🥰 I guess our Carriage House is a magical house!!!

“Our house in the woods. This is how our 3 year old calls it. And this is how we felt during our stay. It was our first over night outing in almost 2 years and we could not have picked a better place. The house was clean, roomy, comfortable and had everything we needed. My kids enjoyed playing in the yard and finding 3,4, 5 and even 6 leaved clover! Yes, this place must be magical! I communicated with the owner multiple times during our stay, she was very responsive if we had a question and beyond friendly. We are looking forward to return many times and enjoy all seasons in Yosemite. Thank you, Rose, for sharing your beautiful place with us.

YOSEMITE DAY PASS RESERVATION REMINDER!

On September 1 at 7 am Pacific daylight time, the first 80% of day-use reservations for October will become available. The remaining 20% of reservations for each day continue to become available 2 days in advance of the date at 7 am PDT. Reservations can sell out within seconds so make sure you’re logged in to your recreation.gov account and ready to go before 7 am PDT.

Other tips:
- Enlist others in your group to go online as well to try to secure the reservation.
- Be flexible on dates, weekends sell out faster than weekdays.
- Create a backup plan! YARTS is operating and can bring you to Yosemite. Reservations are not required but recommended. Visit yarts.com for schedules and bookings.
- Read all of the “Need to Know” information on recreation.gov to select the right options for your visit.

“We decided to begin our count down to distant learning next week by taking kids to Yosemite National Park this weekend! We checked off a few things from our bucket list: 4-mile hike to Mariposa Grove, glacier point, skipping stones in Merced River (N’s personal best: 5 skips!), and stargazing (even saw a shooting star)!

Thanks to our gracious hosts Rose Chen and John! Their Airbnb provided the most ideal resting and relaxing home for us! Its proximity to the park entrance allowed us to fully utilize every minute to explore the park AND amenities of Tenaya lodge just across the street”

Yay yay! Another wonderful 5 stars review!

“We are a family of four stayed in this comfortable house for 3 nights. Our kids loved this place so much because there are puzzles for them to play in the house and a steel pipe airplane at the yard that they can ride on. We found everything that we need in the house and the owner is very detailed and thoughtful. Besides the things a out the house she also provides a lot of information of enjoying the National Park. We are very happy with this trip and definitely recommend this place!

“A quaint house in Fish Camp which is 2 miles from the southern entrance of Yosemite. There are two large bedrooms and two large bathrooms, a full kitchen, and plenty of common space. Very kid friendly--I was able to borrow the host's high chair and my toddler loved playing in the dollhouse outside.”

Rose really helped us out with a last minute booking for our trip to Yosemite when a previous host had cancelled on us for July 4th weekend only a few days before our trip. The house was super clean with all the amenities you could ask for. Air conditioning was fantastic in the summer Yosemite heat. The house is 5 minutes from the main gate, which was incredible for getting into the valley early in the am. We will be staying here again!”

“Our family of four spent 5 nights/5 days at this wonderful cottage. It’s location is perfect for daily visits to Yosemite. The neighborhood is quite and peaceful and a great place to take an evening stroll. The home is has everything you need for cooking meals and preparing for a great day in nature. We enjoyed the outside dining area. We slept so well in the comfortable beds. Parking is easy just outside of the house. Rose was a wonderful host. Clear communication throughout our trip. We highly recommend this home and experience. Thank you so much for sharing your house with us especially during this challenging season of COVID. During this uncertain time, we are able to follow CDC’s new cleaning protocols to enhance the cleaning procedures after each group of guests’ stay, so that we could provide the best service to our guests. Here are extra steps we have taken:

Carriage House follows CDC enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance.

Here are a few highlights:

1. We sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob.�
2. We use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and we wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination.�
3. We clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists.�
4. We provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay.�
5. We comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines.�

We visited Yosemite National Park today after park’s reopening to the public. It is still as breathtaking as before! With much less visitors as it used to be during summer time. Our day couldn’t be any better than this. If you plan to come to visit the park, make sure you get the day pass from recreation.gov. They only give 1,700 passes everyday. One pass is good for 7 days.

We got our Day Use Entry to Yosemite National Park!!!! Can't wait to go back to visit the most beautiful place on earth!
