When we were filming The Green and Gold, I have to admit, I was a little disappointed to learn that Craig T. Nelson wouldn’t be in the scene we were shooting. Afterward, the producers graciously offered us the chance to take a picture with the actors. They were so kind and did a fantastic job, but honestly, I was thinking, Okay, but it’s not Craig T. Nelson.

We posed for the picture, and I secretly thought, I’m probably not even going to share this. I don’t even know who these people are! Fast forward to watching the movie—It Ends With Us. Suddenly, it clicked. The homeless boyfriend guy, Atlas, looked familiar. Wait a minute… that guy was in the movie shot at our cabin!

Turns out, one of the actors was Brandon Sklenar. You might recognize him from 1923, Midway, and more. I know, how exciting right?!

The Green and Gold was filmed right here in Door County, and it’s definitely one to add to your watchlist. Tickets are on sale now—don’t miss it!

✨ Big News! ✨

We are beyond excited to share that Green and Gold, starring the legendary Craig T. Nelson, is set to be released this January! 🎬 And guess what? Some of the film’s scenes were shot right here at our property! 🌲🏡

Although our cabin is currently closed for the season, we will be reopening in spring of 2025, and you’ll have the chance to experience the beauty and charm that made this location a perfect backdrop for the movie. Whether you’re a fan of the film or looking for a peaceful retreat, get ready to book your stay when we reopen next year!

ARE YOU ONE OF THE HOMES WITHOUT POWER? We have three bedrooms in our retreat house in Juddville for anyone experiencing a power outage in Northern Door. Our hidden kitchen will also be open from 8am- 4pm tomorrow with WiFi, coffee, a place to work/plug in or come out of the cold. IM us if interested.
