Congratulations to Friends of Peninsula State Park for your favorite park making it into the top three in the whole United States!

Did you hear? Wisconsin’s Peninsula State Park was just named the No. 3 state park in the United States by USA Today 10Best!

Peninsula State Park was nominated earlier this spring and thanks to the votes of our fantastic visitors, we made it to the top 3.

Often considered Wisconsin's most complete park, Peninsula offers over 400 campsites, 20 miles of hiking trails, 12 miles of off-road bicycle paths, a summer theater, an 18-hole golf course, sand beaches, a lighthouse and eight miles of Door County shoreline.

Congratulations to all of the other great state parks that earned the title of “best state park” this year!

At our front door step in Fish Creek, we salute the Friends of Peninsula State Park for their work on the mountain bike trails.

Our “Ride the Park Celebration” began on Wednesday with the exciting start of the new boardwalk on the Mountain Bike Trail! This cool addition, made possible by volunteer efforts, will really enhance the already thrilling ride through the woods.

We’d love for you to join us for more bike-themed family fun, starting this Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Highland Trailhead.
