On the Chesapeake side, our huge yard reaches all the

way to the bay and is perfect for playing badminton, bocci, horseshoes, flying kites, or just sitting by the bay to watch the sunset and the cruise ships pass by. There is a fantastic fire pit next to the riprap bulkhead by the bay and plenty of outdoor space and seating. On the river side, you can watch the nesting ospreys by the front of the property, in our screened in porch and the watermen as they bring in the day's catch.

Thanking all of our guests from over the years, as we have made the decision to retire this location. We will be operating it as a family home for gatherings. HOWEVER, if you were a former guest, please let us know if you will need lodging for Iron/Eagleman competitions and we can work something out for you.

We have enjoyed chatting with you, reading your reviews, and finding gifts when I go to clean. Over 10 years of hosting our lovely guests and there only 1 or 2 that would not be welcome back...LOL

BREAKING NEWS! SAVE THE DATE:
The next Taylors Island Volunteer Fire Company Golf Cart Poker Run is scheduled for Saturday, April 27th.

This event is a cartful of fun and 100% of the proceeds go to the Taylors Island Volunteer Fire Company. The great folks from Dorchester Auto and Golf Cart Sales have confirmed that they will be there. If you don't have a golf cart they can rent you a cart and transport it to and from Taylors Island Maryland.

The Taylors Island Golf Cart Poker Run is an event in which participants visit predesignated stations around the island and draw 1 playing card at each station. The object is to have the best poker hand(s) at the end to claim great prizes. There will be a DJ, Tricky Tray, 50/50 raffle, food, Taylors Island merch for sale and lots of other fun stuff.

Here's something a little different – and fun! Bubbles on Main Street, a family-friendly foam party, bursts onto the scene this Saturday, Aug. 12 from 2 to 4pm in the Blue Ruin Parking lot in Cambridge. Wear clothes you don't mind getting wet. The foam is biodegradable, non-staining, non-toxic and hypoallergenic. Food and beverages will be available to purchase from Blue Ruin. Celebrate summer with Cambridge Main Street/Downtown Cambridge and Blue Ruin!

Combine interesting talks with good eats at the Horn Point Laboratory’s Summer Talks! Horn Point faculty members will give a talk at High Spot Cambridge each Tuesday from 5:30pm to 6:30pm, from June 20 through August 1. Topics range from coastal flooding in Dorchester County to living shorelines to the Horn Point Oyster Hatchery. And the High Spot has their pub grub half price from 4 to 6pm!
