The Howarth House Bed and Breakfast has been open since October 2009, providing what we think is a beautiful setting to relax and enjoy a quiet stop on a journey. Better yet, stay a while and see what is available for events, entertainment, nature and sport. Located just above the campus of Fitchburg State University (a one minute walk), the university offers many additional reasons for a visit,

whether it is for a parent event or perhaps for one of the many fine shows presented at Weston Auditorium. We are 2 minutes from the train to Boston, a short drive to Mount Wachusett, Mount Monadnoc or Mt. Watatic for skiing, hiking and other entertainment, and we are at a crossroads to New Hampshire and Vermont. The B&B offers up 3 luxurious guest rooms, each with en suite private baths. In the morning there is a fine full menu breakfast that will start anyone’s day off in a great way. Pets are allowed on a limited basis with prior approval.

We’re Ryan and Sarah Jordan, the owners and innkeepers behind the home, hospitality, and heart that make Howarth House such a special place.

As parents of four amazing children and proud grandparents, we understand the importance of creating meaningful moments and lasting memories. That’s exactly what we hope to provide for every guest who walks through our doors.

By day, Sarah serves our community as an Emergency Room nurse, and Ryan works as a healthcare administrator. Together, we’ve built Howarth House around the values that matter most to us: caring for others, attention to detail, and making people feel genuinely welcome.

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, exploring Central Massachusetts, or simply looking for a peaceful getaway, we’re honored to share our home with you.

We look forward to welcoming you to Howarth House.
