Due to a recently announced air quality alert combined with anticipated extreme heat temperatures, the Senior FunFest event scheduled for this Saturday, July 18, at Elizabeth Park has been cancelled. As much as we were looking forward to hosting our second FunFest for the senior residents of the downriver community, we believe it is in the best interest of those residents that we not put their health at risk by exposing them to potentially dangerous weather conditions.

We sincerely regret having to make this decision, especially so close to the actual event, and we apologize to all who were looking forward to this event as much as we were. But the health of our residents is our primary concern at this time, and we hope you will appreciate the serious level of concern that motivated this decision.
