Hello everyone!
Here’s some big news from our family and the farm.
If you’re going to read this, please take your time now or later—I really need your attention for this one.
When you reach the end, share only your positive thoughts with me. There’s no need to feel sorry or say “I’m sorry”—truly, none is needed. 🙂
As some of you know, we’ve been struggling financially for quite a while. We’ve now reached the point where we will need to sell the house soon. You know how much we love this property. If you’ve ever visited, you probably fell in love with it too—it’s a super inspiring, very beautiful place, and incredibly fertile.
So here we are, yet again, looking forward and seeing a crossroads!
Haha—I’m laughing, not crying, because in my heart I know that whatever happens is exactly what needs to happen.
The fastest and most straightforward option is to put the property on the market (which we already did this week), pay down our debts with whatever we can get for it, and find another place somewhere else. Only God knows where!
The more complex—but to me much more meaningful and desirable path is to move out, keep the house, and continue building it into a spiritually oriented, regenerative, self-sustaining farm that produces both amazing food and a strong, genuine community.
This plan would involve Cristele and the kids going to her parents for a year while I stay here and live in the house with 3–4 housemates I’ll carefully choose over the next two months (or less).
I see this as nothing less than a calling: to bring people together, create a real haven here, and show the world how to turn what looks like a “loss” for one into an opportunity for many others.
I believe it’s a far better future for this land than caving in to BlackRock-type buyers.
Building communities that actually steward fertile land and grow real human food feels much more sustainable than letting Bill Gates keep buying it up and control what people eat. You vill it Zi bugs! (or not...)
Key date: June 1st is when I need three or four housemates to move in for this plan to become real and kick in.
To make that happen, I’m holding an open house May 1st through May 3rd for anyone interested (all my relatives included) to come see the place, meet the humans, feel the vibe, and sense whether this could be something they’d like to experience for the next 6–12 months.
Since this is all new to me, I can’t say exactly what will happen in a year. But all known options are on the table, and the best path will keep revealing itself.
There are too many awesome perks to this housemate arrangement to list here.
One of them is contributing a few hours of farm work per week when needed, and in return enjoying free organic food all season long (plus preserved foods and herbs afterward).
What could be more satisfying than eating what you planted?
Beyond daily life here, we’re already building a rhythm of connection and growth: weekly farm & spirituality activities, monthly gatherings, and seasonal weekend retreats focused on regeneration—of the land and of the soul.
Who is this opportunity for?
• People who have always dreamed of living off the land on a self-sustaining farm.
• People advanced on their spiritual path who are excited to share teachings, practices, and callings with others—and who are also happy to get their hands dirty occasionally (planting a little cabbage seedling or harvesting a giant broccoli).
• People who are stable professionally and/or financially and can contribute their fair share toward household expenses.
If you’ve read this far, I bet you have some questions!
Most answers I could think of are already on the website I created for this purpose:
www.OrganicLove.Earth
If you can’t find what you need there, reach out via the contact options on the site or send me a private message here.
What’s next?
• April 24th — our spring community gathering (weekend retreat — more info on the website)
• May 1st–3rd — open house (come visit if you or someone you know might be a good fit)
• June 1st — move-in for housemates
Feel free to pass it on to your friends.
Nothing but blessings,
Aviad
