Hello everyone,
The Ozark Trail Motel would like to alert the community to an active phone scam. We recently received a call from individuals falsely claiming to represent PSO. The callers used a 1-800 number, an answering service that sounded legitimate, and industry-specific language to pressure customers into making an immediate payment to avoid service disconnection ahead of the storm.
The scammers directed calls to 1-866-624-0081 and instructed callers to select option 2 to speak with an “account manager.”
Please share this information with family and friends to help prevent anyone from being scammed. Reputable utility companies typically do not demand payment by phone. If you receive a call like this, contact the company directly using a verified number before providing any payment information.
For reference, PSO’s official customer service number is 1-888-776-1368. We have reported this incident to PSO and wanted to notify the community ahead of the upcoming winter storm. Stay safe and informed.

Recently, scam messages impersonating toll institutions have made their rounds trying to garner clicks and payments from turnpike customers. These messages are not real. We are linking guidance regarding these messages. We also want to remind everyone in our area that we are available to help issue Pikepass transponders and answer questions regarding Pikepass issues. Stop by before clicking on these messages and we will do our best to help!
