Job Summary

The main primary focus of the Housekeeper is to clean guest rooms on a daily basis taking the effort to thoroughly ensure the rooms are properly cleaned, disinfected, organized and passes all management and brand expectations and inspections.

Changing sheets, towels, bedding and other used inventory daily or as directed
Vacuum all carpets as directed
Clean all bathroom, commode, tub/shower, sink, walls and floors daily
Empty trash daily
Stock, count inventory, fold, organize, prepare and report the need of all housekeeping and guest supplies
Identify and resolve problems as needed
Perform all duties in the time designated by management
Maintain Excellent communications with all departments
Provide excellent guest service
Qualifications and Skills

Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written expressions
Proven ability to be detailed driven
Demonstrate the ability to perform rigorous activities such as bend, kneel, stand, stretch, climb, walk and squat daily
Proven ability to perform in both, a team environment as well as alone
Must be a people person
Must be self-disciplined and able to follow directions
Must be well organized
Must have an excellent attendance record

We know that this is a difficult time for everyone across the country and the global community. We are doing everything in our power to reduce risks to both our guests and staff. Our pool and fitness center are currently closed per guidance from county officials. Our breakfast is on a to go basis as businesses are directed not to allow dining room space in order to continue "social distancing." Our housekeeping staff is working diligently to sterilize the property. We are still open for business and here to help with your travel needs. Our next highlighted staff member is Joyce. Joyce has been with Wingate for 3yrs. She was the winner of Employee of the Year 2018. Joyce is responsible for ensuring the public areas of the hotel are clean and ready for our guests. When you walk in and find the floors sparkling, the restrooms spotless, and all other areas clean you can thank Joyce. At Wingate Asheville Airport we take our service to you, our valued guest, very seriously. We are a family and want you to experience that family feel.
