The Lower Wilderness Area prescribed burn scheduled for this spring has been successfully completed. All trails in the Lower Wilderness Area are now open to the public.

The prescribed burn was conducted to help restore and maintain fire as a natural ecological process, reduce the buildup of dead and downed fuels, and lower the risk of future catastrophic wildfires. These efforts also help protect adjacent lands by improving overall wildfire resilience in the area.
