Shoals Soul

IN A WORLD WHERE EVERYTHING IS MADE IN PIXELS, WE STILL BELIEVE IN THE SANCTITY OF PAPER.

There’s something beautiful and slow about taking the time to collect the thoughts and images and events of our community and commit them to a permanent form.

The stories we want to tell in Shoals Soul are a collection of small things such as hopes, dreams, music, art, and culture. These are the rare and tiny diamonds of human experience that will be placed in a spotlight for all to shine together. Our goal is to create a frame in which we can celebrate what it means to be alive in The Shoals at this time. We believe life here is good, and we aspire to capture the soul of our collective experiences to share that goodness not only with our own community, but the world at large.

Shoals Soul is a FREE monthly publication with a controlled distribution of 10,000 copies per issue. You can find copies all over The Shoals- in high traffic areas like coffee shops, restaurants, and hotels, and community supporters like Shoals Chamber of Commerce, Tourism and beyond. For everything that gets printed we will distribute it on all digital channels. This means that the story of The Shoals is shared both in print and on social media, blogs, videos and more. No matter how someone consumes media, we want the entire world to have access to and treasure the spirit of The Shoals.
