It’s absolutely mind-blowing to think about the Ancestral Sonoran Desert People building a 4-story architectural wonder out of local desert mud—complete with built-in astronomical alignments that match the solstices! ☀️🌙Walking alongside the remnants of North America’s largest prehistoric irrigation canals really puts history into perspective. If you are exploring Arizona, this sacred, historic sanctuary is an absolute must-see.

Desert golf done right! 🏜️☀️ Spent an incredible fall day out on the greens at Las Colinas Golf Club in Queen Creek. Just a quick, scenic drive up from our stay in Florence, and it was worth every minute. The traditional layout weaves through beautiful rolling fairways and mature trees—a perfect break from the standard target desert tracks. The ball was flying, the greens were rolling fast and true, and the mountain views in the background did not disappoint! 🏔️⛳️Always gotta cap off a perfect 18 holes with cold drinks and great food at the Social Birdie clubhouse restaurant.
