We are located along the historic Crooked Road Music Trail and right off the Blue Ridge Parkway at mile marker 159.3. The charming town of Floyd is only 4 miles away, with easy access to music, shopping, and local restaurants - all with a true feeling of Appalachian hospitality. Our store offers basic camping essentials, travel/tourism information, local artisan items, souvenirs, and more. The Farm offers a "You Pick" flower experience that is open Thursday through Sunday from 10am till sunset.

🇺🇸 Have plans for the 4th of July weekend yet?

Come spend Independence Day weekend at Crooked Mountain.

Set up camp, enjoy a campfire, watch the lightning bugs come out, and take in local fireworks from the top of the flower fields.

We’ll have picnic tables set up at the top of the flower fields where you can enjoy the Floyd fireworks and several other local displays from a distance.

Because sometimes the best fireworks are the ones watched from a camp chair, surrounded by lightning bugs, with mountains all around.

Not camping with us? That’s okay too. This invitation is open to locals and anyone else who would rather enjoy the fireworks from a distance. Bring a chair, relax, and spend the evening with us.

The flower fields needed fertilized.

I wanted to ride.

Rather than argue about it, we did what any reasonable farm owners would do… we hooked a seed spreader to a dirt bike and called it farm equipment.

Was it the most conventional solution? Probably not.

Did it work? Absolutely.

Running a small farm requires a little creativity, a willingness to try new things, and occasionally some questionable decision-making.

Welcome to Crooked Mountain, where flowers, motorcycles, camping, and farm projects somehow all end up working together. 🌻🏍️

Sometimes people ask us what Crooked Mountain actually is…

Is it a campground? A flower farm? An event venue? A motorcycle destination? A country store? A place for live music? A fishing pond? A hiking trail?

The answer is... yes.

Over the years we've hosted camping trips, motorcycle rallies, bicycle events, veteran gatherings, Earth Day celebrations, live music, flower picking, summer events (PickinFest, Date Nights on the Farm), yoga on the farm, fishing, hiking, home school groups, photography sessions, engagements, proposals, weddings, and a whole lot more.

How do all of those things go together?

Honestly, we're not always sure.

What we do know is that they're all things we enjoy. We built Crooked Mountain around the things we love, and it turns out a lot of other people love those things too.

That's why reaching 3,000 followers means so much to us. Every follow, comment, share, visit, campsite reservation, flower purchase, event ticket, and recommendation has helped us continue building something that didn't exist here just a few years ago.

So no matter what you follow us for, thank you for joining us on the journey. The people we've met along the way are truly what keep us going.

We appreciate your interest in our small farm and your support along the way. It's been amazing to watch this little farm adventure continue to grow, and we're excited to see where it takes us.

We’re Open This Weekend! 🌻

If you’re out exploring Floyd this weekend, stop by the Crooked Mountain Store.

We’re excited to be part of the Floyd Center for the Arts’ Artful Adventures. While you’re here, browse Christy’s artwork, pick up some Crooked Mountain merchandise, and check out a variety of local and farm-made products.

Just a half mile off the Blue Ridge Parkway, down a little road called Shooting Creek, you’ll find an old farm that we’ve spent the last few years bringing back to life.

What starts with a handful of seeds each spring turns into fields of flowers, campfires under the stars, live music, laughter, and memories made with family and friends.

Which sunflower will be our first bloom of the year? It’s looking like one by the store or one by our greenhouse. It’s going to be a few weeks till the ones in the field are blooming…. and we’re still planting. We’re planting another sunflower field today. All our fields are planted weeks apart to keep blooms throughout our season. Our dog Roxy has been helping us and really likes all the colors of echinacea coming up.

We’re currently accepting vendor applications for PickinFest at Crooked Mountain in Floyd, Virginia!

Last year’s event brought hundreds of visitors to the farm, and we’re excited to welcome even more this year.

PickinFest is a family-friendly day on the farm featuring live music, local food, vendors, flowers, and plenty of opportunities to spend the day enjoying everything Floyd has to offer.

We’re looking for a variety of vendors including:

🛍️ Handmade goods
🎨 Arts & crafts
🌿 Farm products
🍯 Specialty foods
👕 Small businesses
🎁 Unique gifts and merchandise

Vendor spaces are limited and applications will be reviewed to help create a diverse shopping experience for our guests.

✔️ $25 refundable vendor deposit
✔️ Deposit returned when you arrive and set up
✔️ Optional tent and table rentals available
✔️ Easy setup and parking access
